In this study, a total of five decontaminants, hexadecypyridinium chloride (HPC), benzalkonium chloride (Zepharin), oxalic acid (OA), sodium hydroxide (NaOH) and sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl), were applied to pretreat the samples from dairy tuberculin reactors. The results showed that the five decontaminants had various inhibition activities to the contaminated bacteria and to the Mycobacterium bovis. The inhibition activities studied on the contaminated bacteria were 2 % NaOH > 0.25 % Zepharin > 5 % OA > 0.1 % NaOCl > 0.075 % HPC. However, the inhibition activities performed on the Mycobacterium bovis were 2 % NaOH > 5 % OA > 0.25 % Zepharin > 0.1 % NaOCl = 0.075 % HPC, respectively. Our results suggest that the 0.075 % HPC and 0.1 % NaOCL were the best decontaminants for pretreating the samples from dairy tuberculin reactors.

採集結核病牛病材時,全程無法保持均為無菌狀態,為避免雜菌污染並提高牛型結核病菌之分離率,在進行分離步驟前,應用消毒劑前置處理病材是必要之手段。應用於前置處理之理想消毒劑;應具有對牛型結核菌毒性較小,而對結核菌以外雜菌之毒性較大等特點。據此,本試驗選用5 種常用消毒劑hexadecylpyridinium chloride (H.P.C.) 、benzalkonium chloride (Zepharin) 、oxalic acid、sodiumhydroxide及sodium hypochlorite等,並參考前人文獻分別以適當濃度,進行乳牛結核病病材之前置處理 [1,2,3] 。以篩選出最佳消毒劑及其使用方法,並推廣應用於本所乳牛結核病病材之處理,減少污染並提高病原之分離率。
